Finance Technology Intern

We’re welcoming 9 interns to experience day-to-day life in Bolt’s Finance department. This is an 11-week paid internship. Got a friend who’s into numbers too? Apply together and make it a summer to remember!Location: Tallinn, Estonia

About the role

We’re looking for a curious, proactive, and tech-savvy Finance Technology Intern to join our Finance Analytics and Reporting team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of financial reporting and data analytics. During your internship, you will mainly contribute to a high-impact project focused on developing our core financial reporting platform and building initial automations to unlock valuable time for end users. Alongside this project, you will gain hands-on exposure to financial reporting, data analysis, data warehouse management, and broader finance process improvements within a fast-growing international group.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Build and optimise SQL queries in our data warehouse to support financial reporting, reconciliations, and automation use cases.
Develop and test automations within our core financial reporting platform to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
Support financial reporting workflows by structuring and validating data used in management reports and financial statements.
Collaborate with Financial Reporting, Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Controlling, and data teams to translate finance requirements into scalable data models and reporting logic.
Improve data structures and KPI definitions to ensure metrics are clearly defined, consistent, and centrally governed.
Identify process improvement opportunities, analyse bottlenecks, and prototype tech-driven solutions that unlock time for finance teams.

About you:

You are studying or have a background in a data-related field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or similar.
You have solid, hands-on experience with SQL and feel comfortable writing queries independently.
You have worked with databases before and are motivated to expand your understanding of data structures.
You are curious about finance and accounting; exposure through studies, personal interest, or a previous internship is a plus but not required.
You have strong analytical skills, enjoy solving problems with a structured approach, and love working with data.
You are eager to learn, grow, and explore new tools while contributing meaningfully in a collaborative, technology-driven environment.

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
